The Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy (PAS New Delhi) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Supporting Young Entrepreneurs and Effective Incubators in Tier II Cities in India.” Under this “Road from GES” project, a grantee will form a partnership with the Nexus Startup

Hub in New Delhi to implement the following:

Each intensive course should be delivered to no fewer than 25 incubator managers, mentors, university faculty involved in entrepreneurship development and related personnel in each of the selected cities.

• Create a network of active, trained mentors from various sectors to provide ongoing support to young people being “incubated” at the selected incubators and/or those associated with Entrepreneurship Development Cells and other relevant entrepreneurship-focused entities at colleges/universities in each of the five selected cities; • Capitalize on virtual entrepreneurship development courses such as the “Innovation Readiness” online course used by Nexus by facilitating and supporting young entrepreneurs as they work their way through an online program; and • Organize and implement a final 2-3 day conclave at the Nexus Startup Hub in New Delhi during which mentees pitch their ideas, mentors describe how they have assisted the mentees and mentees reflect on their growth as young entrepreneurs.
