Announcement for Program Funding for NRCS' Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2018 -Maryland

NRCS is announcing the availability of CIG to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.

Applications will be accepted from eligible entities for projects carried out in the state of Maryland.

A total of up to $150,000 is available for

CIG in FY 201 8. All non-Federal entities (NFE) and individuals are invited to apply, with the sole exception of Federal agencies.

Projects may be between one and three years in duration.

The maximum award amount for a single award in FY 2018 is $75,00 0.

Eligible applicants are K-through-12 public and independent schools and school systems, institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, state or local government agencies, and Indian tribal governments.

The Department of Commerce/ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (DOC/NOAA) is strongly committed to broadening the participation of historically black colleges and universities, Hispanic serving institutions, tribal colleges and universities, and institutions that service undeserved areas.

The National Marine Sanctuary Program encourages proposals involving any of the above institutions.
