Amherst Receives More Than $100K State Grant for Wastewater Recycling Research

Amherst town gets a total of $105,527 state grants to study the reuse of wastewater. Amherst is one of the 11 communities that will be receiving their share of funding for water-based projects.


Part of the Massachusetts Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, its Sustainable Water Management Initiative releases the grants to fund the use of treated wastewater for irrigation at the University of Massachusetts and Amherst College.
