Franklinton Gets New Fire Hydrants Thanks to State Grant

Washington Parish town Franklinton will get new fire hydrant replacements thanks to a $23,000 grant from the state.


The 14 new fire hydrants will be used to advance the town's fire rating and prevent water loss. Some of the old hydrants were leaking and marred and haven't been replaced for over five decades.
