Houma Police Department Receives J.U.D.E. Grant

Houma Police Department was awarded with a $187,200 Juvenile Underage Drinking Enforcement (J.U.D.E) by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.


The grant will be used to enforce curfew, as well as stop underage drinking and smoking violations. Stores were evaluated whether or not they sell alcohol and cigarettes to minors. Most of the stores past the test, while few were given citations.
