Rockford Park District's $853,000 Plan

The Rockford Park District applies for an $853,000 grant to improve its oldest property with new features.


The grant will be used to spruce up the 103 year old Sinnissippi Park with new pathways, playgrounds, shelters, and lighting. Sinnissippi Park was the district's first land purchase in 1909. Popular programs have been held there over the years such as Festival of Lights, Music in the Park, snowsculpting competitions, Charlotte's web performance arts and the Imagination Station performance series.
