Santa Barbara County Probation Receives $120,000 State Grant to Monitor High-Risk DUI Offenders

The Santa Barbara County Probation Department receives a $120,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety to supervise high-risk driving under the influence (DUI) offenders.


The grant will fund deputy probation officers to strongly supervise drivers on probation for felony DUI or multiple misdemeanor DUI charges. Supervision for these offenders will cover unexpected home searches, random alcohol and drug testing, and monitoring in compliance with court-ordered DUI education and treatment programs.
