State Grant to Help Restore Eckersley Hall

Agency - Historic Restoration Fund

The city of Middletown secures a state grant valued at $172,300 from the Historic Restoration Fund for the renovation of Eckersley Hall. The Hall will transform into a nonprofit agency called the Middletown Senior Center for the elderly residents in the community.


The Eckersley Hall Committee has been arranging plans for a new senior center since the city acquired the historic edifice. Eckersley Hall is already listed in the state Register of Historic Places.
