US Justice Department Provides $2.5 Million Funds for Newtown Response

The US Justice Department is disseminating nearly $2.5 million in funding to organizations that quickly responded to last December's school shooting in Newtown.


The funding reimburses various organizations that include the Connecticut State Police, the Newtown Police Department and partner agencies, for expenses associated with forensics and security during and in the aftermath of the shooting that took the lives of 20 first graders and six staff members in Newton.
