US Justice Department Provides $2.5 Million Funds for Newtown Response
Agency - US Justice DepartmentThe US Justice Department is disseminating nearly $2.5 million in funding to organizations that quickly responded to last December's school shooting in Newtown.
The funding reimburses various organizations that include the Connecticut State Police, the Newtown Police Department and partner agencies, for expenses associated with forensics and security during and in the aftermath of the shooting that took the lives of 20 first graders and six staff members in Newton.

SATA CommHealth and Bliss Restaurant landed Social Enterprise of the Year titles, while Bettr Barista Coffee Academy bagged the award for Social Enterprise Start-up of the Year.
