Minority Research Grant Program 2024

The Minority Research Grant Program, authorized under Section 1110 of the Social Security Act, provides funding opportunities to support health equity research.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to encourage innovative health services research that can directly and demonstrably

credit:


contribute to the improvement of health outcomes for people from all minority populations.

Eligible applicants are:
1) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), 2) Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), 3) Asian American and Native American and Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs), 4) Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), 5) Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions (ANNHs), 6) Native American-Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTIs), or 7) Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).

This program also encourages research that focuses on the reduction of health disparities at the health care system-level.

Such research will stimulate interest in the characterization and inferential analysis of determining factors associated with health-related social needs and to provide funding in this area.

A single institution may submit more than one application for consideration, provided that each application is scientifically distinct.
