Graduate Psychology Education Program

This program addresses the interrelatedness of behavior and health and the critical need for integrated health care services.

Grants will be awarded to assist eligible entities in meeting the costs to plan, develop, operate, or maintain graduate psychology doctoral, doctoral internship, and doctoral

credit:


residency programs accredited by the APA.

These programs must foster an integrated approach to health care services and address access for underserved populations by training psychologists to work with underserved populations including children, the elderly, victims of abuse, the chronically ill or disabled; and in areas of emerging needs.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible entities are accredited health profession schools, universities, and other public or private nonprofit entities, including faith-based organizations and community based organizations.

To receive assistance, the eligible entity must demonstrate that the training within an accredited psychology training program will occur in collaboration with two or more disciplines.

Disciplines include, but are not limited to, family medicine, general internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, psychiatric/mental health nursing, substance abuse counseling, social work and dentistry.
