BLM NM- Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Inspection and Enforcement Program

The oil and gas inspection and enforcement program is a cooperative effort between the Bureau of Land Management and the Navajo Nation to coordinate and improve the oil and gas lease inspection and enforcement program by providing mutual support for oil and gas lease compliance on Navajo Nation Tribal

Trust lands including but not limited to:
1) site security, 2) Independent Measurement and Handling Inspections (IMHI) production accountability and 3) environmental protection.

This ensures full accountability of mineral production and royalty payments, including proper oil and gas lease site abandonment and reclamation activities.
